Hi,

First post here.

I have a 2003 1.6 manual CC, owned for about 6 months with more problems than i can count, although can't blame the car entirely more the dealership!

Arrived at work today and turned the car off removing the key, however, the battery light stayed on along with the main display and radio, tried turning it back on and off etc to no avail. Battery light and display started to "flick" on and off with a clicking sound, stayed like this for about half an hour until the "boys" got into work to rescue me :) they disconnected the battery and left into for about an hour before reconnecting and turning the car on, this seems to have sloved the problem.

What i'd like to know is this a sign of a bigger problem accuring and what may have caused it, there has been lots of rain recently however all the casing under the bonnet was dry.

Looked through old posts and noticed someone has had the same problem but had no response.

Any ideas?

Sorry you are having problems. Welcome to the forum.

My first thought would be ignition switch, but I guess you've done the sensible thing by booking it in. Presumably you're using a Peugeot specialist.

Good luck, it'll be interesting to hear the diagnosis and solution.
