fold down roof

My roof won't fold down on my peugeot 206cc (registerd 54), just been for a diagnostic test to see what was causing this problem but the garage I took it to said it could not get the car to be read by their diagnostic machine. It was not a peugeot dealer, so would a peugeot dealer have the same problem. I am worried in case the computer in my car is the problem, and if so would that be expensive to fix. I thought the later models of this car had the roof problems already sorted out, anyone else had his problem or just me (again).

I think you need a Peugeot service agent who knows CC's, either a main dealer or a good Peugeot independent.
Anything mechanical can go wrong, our roof has been reliable so far. Many faults are self inflicted by owners not following instructions to the letter, but it could be just a microswitch not working.
