What is a breaker tube???

Hye - my car wouldn't start so called out RAC who initially thought it was the coil pack. However, turned out the sparks needed a wipe down - whilst he removed coil pack he snapped a tube which he has written down as 'breaker tube'. I have tried to find one online but can't even see one listed. Is there another name for it?? TA!:thumbs:

hey i think mr RAC could have mis spelt?you cant find it is because im pretty sure it doesnt exsist in a engine bay so perhaps it was a breather tube its usually located near the plugs. then again i could be wrong.....
