Hi all,
Just wanted to say hi to everyone, I stumbled accross the site while looking for CC info online, I've had a diesel 206cc for about a year now, before that I had a 206 hatch diesel and used to post on 206online.com before it closed :-(
I'll get some pictures of Lucy submitted at some point, just need some decent weather so I can give her a clean and take some photos!
Cheers,
Globetrotter.

Hi All,
Picked up my new 54 reg 206 cc SE on the weekend and so far so very, very good
. Previously owned a 206L 1.1 & was a bit nervous about the transition to a 2 litre, but it feels very natural a few days in. Actually not as fast as I expected though power is there when needed. Waiting for my English manual to be sent by the dealer, as the one it came with was in Dutch! Meanwhile the dashboard is showing 29 mpg. Anyone know if that’s about right? Many reviews state 35 mpg :/.
Another slight concern is that there are little gaps by the windows allowing air through, which is a bit annoying at high speeds. Not sure if the seals need replacing or the doors adjusting - Any tips for a single (but not helpless) female please?

I'd expect slightly more in terms of MPG but it depends how you drive and what sort of driving your doing (town vs motorway). If your stopping and starting lots the figures will be lower.
I take it you have reset the trip computer so you know the figures you are seeing are accurate?
I don't have this problem, I have the 1.6 diesel and get nearly 60mpg :-P
The wind noise is a fact of life I'm afraid, although it may be worth checking your rear quarter window is all the way up, they have been known to slip slightly over time which leaves a little air gap.

You may see better mpg when winter is over. All cars use more fuel in the cold weather. The 206cc is quite a lot heavier than the hatchback which affects its acceleration a bit.
Make sure you carry out oil and filter changes more often than the service schedule says, and use quality oil - the 2.0 litre can suffer expensive hydraulic tappet problems otherwise. You'll find many posts on the subject.
You can download a manual on this site. See recent posts, I put a hotlink in one the other day for someone who needed to change a bulb. Have a search of my recent posts, that way you'll get to know your way around the forum. If you absolutely can't find it let me know.
Welcome to the forum,
Ron

I'm trying to sign up for some extended warranty. So far Warranty Direct appear to be the most reasonable at £250 for the year on their Extra Care (top) policy. Would anyone strongly warn me off?
