Hi Fellas,
Wonderering if someone can help me with the above question.
I bought my CC recently and was told it had a predator alarm that was armed with the ignition key - no remote for the alarm itself, which is a little strange as if I understand correctly, the predator is an after market alarm system made by Falcom adn would almost certainly have a separate remote.
I can't find the control box anywhere in the bonnet, boot, or any other place that would indicate an after market alarm.
The alarm has never gone off either... maybe there is no alarm? - The car is an import so there is no switch beside the "disable airbag" switch.
So, Can someone please tell me if a 2001 2.0 Allure would maybe have a factory fitted alarm that the seller was confused by and called it a predator system? It would certainly work automatically with the ignition key and remote.
Is there a way to find out if the car in fact has an alarm at all?
The manual doesn't seem to indicate anything about alarms, and seems to be for a newer model... I think the owner must have lost the original.
The new handbook from the internet doesn't mention anything useful.
I would really appreciate any help on this.

Hi Shzad
Do you have any sensors on your front window in the pillars, it look like the pillar has big spots sticking out of it. also do you have remorte central locking if you do use it to lock the car then open the boot with the key if there is an alarm fitted, then this will set it off.
Normaly the if an after market alarm unit could have been fitted under the dash, but like you said in your post with out a fob you may as well get another alarm fitted as this would work out cheper and gives you pice of mind, plus your inurance company.
hope this helps Steve
