:/ :/ :/
 :firedevil:

Hi forumers,

I just inherited the missus' fli active subwoofer as it doesn't fit in her new 206cc and in return I kinda said I'd put a sub and amp in her boot that fit.

I need some advice as theres basically no space in there it would seem. theres a thing which stretches across horizontally which cuts the boot in half!, I'm guessing this marks where the roof folds down into?

I'm up for trying fibreglass or mdf or anything, but she wants to keep the back seats

my email is simunator AT hotmail .co.uk please email me or reply to the thread any help greatly appreciated

There are three main types of bass box; they are sealed, ported, band pass. All of which can be easily made using basic in your garage tools, however the band pass boxes do require lots of calculations to get the dimensions right. Both sealed and ported boxes have pros and cons over each other meaning there is not an outright winner.
To choose the best for your car you really need to look at your audio equipment and the type of music that will be played. A sub in a sealed box can handle more power than the same sub in a ported box, but the ported box will be better at producing lower notes, also by adjusting the length and diameter of the port you can tune it to perform better at certain frequencies giving your car optimum bass capabilities. hope this helps and good luck
when in doubt go flat out lol!
