vehicle speed sensor

I seem to be getting nearer to my poblem now. My problem is P0502
Vehicle speed sensor-low input.
It seems my warning light which looks like a car skiddings i have been told that my car (y reg 1.1) does not have abs
Can any one give give me any more help on this problem.Where is the sensor etc how do i repair it
I am hoping i have this topic in the right place

sounds like a abs sensor.
best look to see if you have sensors on the wheels,then thatll show you have abs.
if you have a skidding car symbol,then yes it has abs and esp. so deffo one the sensors has gone down.

Odd that. Everywhere you look says your car won't have ABS. You'll soon see though when you get a front wheel off. I should get yourself a Haynes manual if you don't already have one. Hope you've got some decent tools.

many thanks for your kind answers,i was begining to think i had missed part of my queery out when i posted it.
I will whip off a front wheel and have a look after i go and get some axle stands asi have a scissor jack and i dont trust it.
Hopefully i can take the wheel and hub apart and see if i have sensors.

having also the same problem as the original poster for a couple of weeks and have to take the bus, i really didn't known that the abs sensor can be at fault also thanks would check that tomorrow morning.
