Radio Suddenly Stops working?

Hi,

Anyone got any ideas why my (factory fitted) radio stopped working? The CD works fine, but the radio just scans and scans without stopping on a channel. Can't hear anything.

Went to Halfords; they pulled the system out and could find nothing wrong there, but reckon it could be the aerial? Could it be fuse (wherever that is!?)

Reluctant to take it down the local dealers for advice; charge ya Â£99 just to tell you what's wrong with it, reinforcing your regret that you ever bought the stupid thing.

Thanks for this Ron.

Pulled the central display casing away, leaving the mounted display panel, and wires leading to what looks like a single black plug thing (with AMP on it) attached to the back. But no matter how much force I use, just can't seem to get it out. Will have another go tomorrow with some pliers (hopefully the thing I'm trying to pull it is supposed to come out! - no other obvious thing to unplug!)

Careful, there might be a clip that you have to pinch in as you pull! I don't know, I've never had mine out.
