2 - FITTING : AERIAL (1)
2 - 1 - ROOF AERIAL
Partly remove the upper section of the tailgate aperture seal (15) .
Special feature - 5-door :
Remove :
NOTE : the headlining must be handled carefully to prevent any damage .
Lower the headlining (19) without folding it and keep it in this position using 2 shims (20) .
Mark and drill the roof, in the centreline, to a diameter of 14 mm observing the dimension (a) of 60 mm in relation to the edge of the roof .
Protect the hole using anti-corrosion product .
WARNING : strip back the roof panel on the interior around the hole .
Protect the bared metal using a PA C15 type electro-conductive compound (Part No. 9734.08) .
Secure the aerial taking care not to deform the roof and directing the wire to the right .
Route the aerial wire under the headlining to the right rear wheel arch front trim (21) .
Special feature - Assembly 2 W (22) :
2 - 2 - BUMPER AERIAL
For vehicles fitted with the electric sliding sun roof or the panoramic roof .
Open the tailgate .
Remove :
Remove the rear bumper .
Bond the aerial sensors (26) inside the bumper using the following product :
The sensors must be in contact with the sides of the bumper .
Secure the wire on the bumper using the adhesive clips supplied and form a loop with the surplus wire between the aerial sensors .
Remove the luggage compartment trim (right side) .
Remove the air extractor (27) (right side) .
Drill a 14 mm diameter hole at the bottom .
Fit the air extractor .
Fit the bumper .
Check the operation of the lights .
Route the aerial wire (28) in the extractor to the right rear wheel arch front trim (29) .
Insert the grommet supplied onto the aerial wire and push it to position it in the hole (use soap to make fitting easier) .
Check that the grommet is fitted correctly to obtain perfect sealing .
Special feature-Fitting : 2W (30) .
Use an extension lead in addition to the bumper aerial :
Route the aerial wire in the right interior side member, along the original harness, to the glove compartment .
3 - FITTING : CAR PHONE
3 - 1 - CAR PHONE 8 W (2) - (5) (PART NO. 9707.X1)
Disconnect the battery .
Mark and drill the centre rib (31) of the right rear wing inner panel observing the dimension (b) of 60 mm to secure the central unit .
WARNING : protect the exposed metal with an anti-corrosion product .
Connect the connection unit (8) to the central unit (2) .
Connect the earth wire (black) (13) using a, 8 mm diameter, round terminal to the earth grommet (32) with a bolt part number 6924.88 .
Refit the boot side trim and mark the holes made earlier .
Secure the central unit (2) .
Route the permanent positive wire (red) (11) under the boot side trim to the rear of the vehicle .
Inside the wheel arch (Rear RH) :
Remove the luggage compartment side trim (On the left-hand side) .
Route the permanent positive wire (red) (11) under the original filler neck (33) to the boot light 2-way brown connector (34) .
Connect the (red) wire (11) to wire no. BH15 at terminal 1 of the boot light using a Raychem sleeve .
Partly remove the door aperture seals (right side) .
Partly unclip the carpet .
In the right interior side member, along the original harnesses, route the following wires :
Remove the access flap (35) .
Remove the bolts (36) from the passenger compartment fuse box (37) .
Remove the passenger compartment fuse box (37) .
Unclip the passenger compartment fuse box double lock (38) (37) .
Connect the ignition controlled positive wire (green) (12), using a terminal Part No. 6542.FR to terminal B5 of the passenger compartment fuse box .
Clip the double lock (38) .
Insert the 10 A fuse at terminal 5 .
3 - 2 - CAR PHONE 2 W (4) - (5)
Disconnect the battery .
Secure the central unit (4) of the hands-free kit to the left-hand side of the glove compartment (Next to the light ; According to specification) .
Connect the mobile phone connection cable (9a) to the central unit (4) .
Route the wire(s) :
Partly remove the bottom section of the front door aperture seal (39) .
Partly unclip the carpet (40) .
Connect the earth wire (13) using a 8 mm diameter round terminal to the earth grommet (41) MC22 .
Remove the access flap (35) .
Remove the bolts (36) from the passenger compartment fuse box (37) .
Remove the passenger compartment fuse box (37) .
Unclip the double lock (38) on the passenger compartment fuse box (37) which corresponds to fuses 5 and 10 .
Connect :
Clip the double locks (38) .
Insert a 5 A fuse at terminal 5 and a 10 A fuse at terminal 10 .
4 - FITTING : MICROPHONE (7)
Remove the left windscreen pillar trim .
Route the microphone wire (7) :

5 - FITTING : SPEAKER (3)
Secure the speaker (3) under the glove compartment from the inside .

6 - MUTE CONNECTION (14) (ACCORDING TO SPECIFICATION)
Remove the radio .
Connect the audio mute wire (14) using a terminal part no. 6542.T9 to terminal no. 1 of the radio 8-way black connector (42) .
7 - FITTING : CAR PHONE CONSOLE (6)
Remove :
Route the phone connection wire (9)-(9a) in the tapping (47) of the console (6) and keep it in place using adhesive tape .
Secure the front section of the console (6) using the 2 bolts (48) of the air conditioning control unit (49) .
Using a small file, make two small notches on the lower edge (50) of the centre panel (46) opposite the telephone console securing lugs (6) .
Insert the clip (51) between the fascia (52) and the console slot (6) to keep the rear section in place .
7 - 1 - SPECIAL FEATURE - CAR PHONE 8 W
Position the handset rest (5) in the upper section of the console (6) .
Mark the securing holes .
Drill pre-holes (metal bracket incorporated in the console) .
Secure the handset rest .
Secure the handset extension lead unit on the console .
Fit the handset (10) on its rest (5) .
Connect the handset to the extension lead unit .
7 - 2 - SPECIAL FEATURE - CAR PHONE 2 W
Position the handset rest (5) in the centre section of the console (6) .
Mark the securing holes .
Drill pre-holes (metal bracket incorporated in the console) .
Secure the handset rest .
Fit the mobile telephone (10a) on its rest (5) .
