REMOVAL - REFITTING HEATER

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Hose clamp (-).1512 .

[2] Pliers for spring collar (-).0165 .

2 - REMOVAL

Depressurise the cooling system (At (A)) .

Clamp the matrix inlet and outlet hoses (Using the tool [1]) .

Disconnect the hoses (1) .

Drain the cooling system .

Remove the bolts (2) .

IMPERATIVE : quickly close the air conditioning pipes so that they are sealed .

Remove the bolts (3), (4) .

Release the inlet and outlet pipes clamp (5) .

REMOVE THE FASCIA .

WARNING : place a receptacle under the heater matrix inlet and outlet pipes .

Check that all of the fascia harness wires are disconnected .

Pull the air conditioner towards you and remove it .

3 - REFITTING

WARNING : check that the fasteners (6) and the expandable mounting (7) are present before refitting the air conditioner .

NOTE : do not forget to reposition the plastic spacer (7) between the bulkhead and the expandable mounting .

IMPERATIVE : reposition the drain hose in the hole on the front floor before fitting the air conditioner to the bulkhead .

IMPERATIVE : for the air conditioning circuit, reconnect all the unions fitted with new seals, lubricated with SP10 type compressor oil .

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

NOTE : lastly tighten the bolt (3) on the expandable mounting .

Charge the refrigerant circuit .

Fill and bleed the cooling system .

Check the operation of the air conditioner .
