REMOVAL - REFITTING FRONT SEAT BACK COVER

1 - REMOVAL

IMPERATIVE : for vehicles fitted with a height adjuster, place the seat in the upper position .

Remove :

• the head restraint
• THE SEAT

Remove :

• the fasteners (1)
• the trim (2)

Remove :

• the fastener (3)
• the trim (4)

Detach :

• the retaining straps (5)
• the lower part (6) of the seat back cover

Remove :

• the fasteners (7)
• the handles (8)

Detach the seat back cover at (A) .

Cut the clips (9) .

Unclip the cover (10) from the seat frame .

Cut the clips (11) .

Release the rods (12) at the top .

Detach the central section of the seat back cover .

Cut the clips (13) .

Remove the head restraint guides (14) .

Detach the seat back cover at the rear to gain access to the side air bag fixing (15) .

Remove the fastener (15) ; Detach the air bag to disconnect the connectors (16) .

Remove the cover / padding assembly + Air-bag .

Cut the clips (17) .

Remove the cover + air bag assembly .

NOTE : IF THE COVER IS TO BE REPLACED WITH RE-USE OF THE AIR BAG .

2 - REFITTING

Position the cover + air bag assembly on the padding .

Fit the clips (17) .

Position the cover + padding + air bag assembly on the seat frame .

Connect the air bag connectors (16) .

Engage the lugs (18) of the air bag at the top .

Refit the mounting (15) .

Position the cover on the seat, engage the hook of the rod (12) on the seat frame, at the top rear .

Secure the other end of the rod (12) to the seat frame, at the bottom, using a clip .

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

REFIT THE SEAT .
