ADJUSTMENT DOOR GLASS

Prior conditions :

• vehicle on a level surface
• REAR QUARTER PANEL WINDOW ADJUSTED
• DOOR CLEARANCES AND FLUSHING ADJUSTED
• DOOR STRIKER ADJUSTED (NO CONTACT ON OPENING OR CLOSING THE DOOR)

1 - TOOLING

[3] : 1 Set of suction caps .

2 - ADJUSTMENT

Change the vehicle into the coupé version .

Remove :

• THE MIRROR CHEATER
• THE DOOR TRIM PANEL

Cut and stick 2 pieces of adhesive tape onto the edge of the door at (P) .

Trace onto the adhesive tape the marks (P1, P2) .

Slacken the mountings 3/4 by (1), (2) turn .

Close the door to the second locking notch .

Using the suction caps [3], fit the window in the roof and aperture seals to the lines on the marks [P1, P2] with the seal at the same level .

Support the door window in position .

Tighten the mounting (2) from inside the vehicle (Two operators are necessary) .

Open the door (Support the door window in position) .

Tighten the mounting (1) (Two operators are necessary) .

Remove :

• the suction caps [3]

Lower the door window to check the cycling of the door window .

Close the door window fully again .

Close the door checking the passage of the window under the seal (Using 2 marks P1, P2) .

The window must not make contact with the seal .

(A) : Flush fitting .

(B) : Clearance between the door window and the rear quarter panel window .

(3) : Rear quarter panel window seal support .

(4) : Quarter light .

(5) : Rear quarter panel window seal .

(6) : Door glass .

Check the clearance between the quarter light and the door window .

In the event of rubbing of the window under the seal on closing the door :

• open the door
• remove the closer from the door electric window rear lower mounting
• release the fastener (7)
• push the mounting (7) towards the outside of the vehicle by a few millimetres to provide additional pre-stress
• retighten the fastener (7)
• close the door
• check the passage of the door window in relation to the side seal of the front moving panel and in relation to the windscreen pillar seal
• tighten the fasteners (1) - (2) - (7) to 0.7 ± 0.1 da.Nm

Remove the 2 pieces of adhesive tape (P) .

Fit :

• the blank
• THE DOOR TRIM PANEL
• THE MIRROR CHEATER

CHECK THE SEALING OF THE VEHICLE .
