REMOVAL - REFITTING HEADLINING

1 - TOOLS

FEIN electric knife assembly [1] :

• [1a] electric knife only
• [1b] stone to be sharpened
• [1c] pin wrench

[2] Shovel blade No. 146 .

2 - BONDING KIT

Parts included in the kit :

• [3a] 1 300 ml cartridge
• [3b] 1 rimer for sheet metal 30 ml
• [3c] 1 degreaser 30 ml
• [3d] 1 wiping paper
• [3e] 1 nozzle
• [3f] 1 applicator
• [3g] 1 instructions

3 - REMOVAL

REMOVE THE FRONT MOVING PANEL .

Using a blade (cutter), cut the beads of adhesive (A) lifting the headlining (1) gradually and pulling on it .

Detach and remove the damaged headlining .

Using the tool [1], smooth out the excess bead of adhesive on the roof panel .

4 - REFITTING

WARNING : ensure that your hands and the equipment are clean: risk of dirt and indelible stains on the new headlining .

Apply 3 beads of adhesive at (B-C-D) (Following the basic diagram E) .

Degrease using dilute surface cleaner .

Position the headlining with adhesive on the panel pressing in the contact areas for adhesion .

Place a protector on the headlining and weight it so that it remains under pressure during the drying period .

REFIT THE FRONT MOVING PANEL .

Test operation .

CHECK THE SEALING OF THE ROOF .
