REMOVAL - REFITTING DOOR

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Door stand .

Make 2 blocks [2] in accordance with the diagram .

Make 2 blocks [3] in accordance with the diagram .

Make 2 blocks [4] in accordance with the diagram .

2 - PARTS REQUIRED

Fitting assembly for equipping a door :

• (1) hinge
• (2) bolt(s)
• (3) shaft
• (4) centralising pins

3 - REMOVAL

Fit the support [1] on the door .

Disconnect the door harness .

Remove :

• the check strap mounting on the a post
• the pins (3)
• the door

4 - REFITTING

Insert the door fitted with its hinges .

Fit :

• the pins (3)
• the check strap mounting on the a post

Connect the door harness .

5 - IF THE DOOR IS REPLACED

Remove :

• the door
• the hinges on the a post
• the hinges on the door

Place the door on the stand [1] .

Position :

• the 2 shims [2] at (A) (13 mm dimension to the outside)
• the 2 shims [3] at (B) (15 mm dimension to the outside)
• the 2 thrust shims [4] 13 mm thick at (C)

Fit the hinges (1) fitted with centralising pins on the front pillar .

Half-tighten the bolts (2) .

Position the hinges (1) fitted with centring pins on the new door .

Tighten the hinge screws (5) on the door without locking .

Position the door opposite the hinges .

Fit the retaining pins (3) (the pins should be facing each other) .

Tighten the check strap mounting on the a post .

Detach the support [1] .

5 - 1 - CHECK THE CLEARANCES AND ALIGNMENT

Close the door and check the clearances :

• height E = 5 ± 2 mm
• clearances D = 5 ± 1.5 mm
• flush fitting = 0 mm

Keep the door closed .

Tighten the bolts (2) on the front pillar using an open ended spanner inserted via the wheel arch .

Open the door and tighten the door hinge mountings (5) .

Check the clearances and alignment again .

WARNING : in the event of difficulty in fitting, remove the centralising pins (4) from the pillar hinge and if necessary from the door hinge ; for this operation, repeat the surface treatment at the centralising pin (application of an anti-corrosion product) .

NOTE : in the event of difficulty in adjustment between the striker and the locks, fit a 306 type striker without indexing to be able to make the adjustment .

Tighten the fasteners (2) - (5) to 2 da.Nm .

Tighten the fasteners (3) to 1.4 da.Nm .
