REPLACEMENT FRONT DOOR

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Door stand .

2 - TOOLS TO BE MADE LOCALLY

Make 2 blocks [2] in accordance with the diagram .

Make 2 blocks [3] in accordance with the diagram .

Make 2 blocks [4] in accordance with the diagram .

3 - PARTS REQUIRED

Fitting assembly for equipping a door :

4 - FITTING

Place the door on the stand [1] .

IMPERATIVE : the rear door must be in place in order to assemble the front door .

Position :

Fit the hinges (1) fitted with centralising pins on the front pillar .

Half-tighten the bolts (2) .

Position the door opposite the hinges .

Tighten, but not fully, the hinge bolts (2) to the door .

Tighten the check strap to the front pillar .

NOTE : the door hinge pin holding bolts (3) face each other .

Detach the tool [1] .

4 - 1 - CLEARANCE CHECK

Close the door and check the clearances :

Keep the door closed .

Tighten the bolts (2) on the front pillar using an open ended spanner inserted via the wheel arch .

Open the door and tighten the hinge fixings to the door .

Check clearances and flush fittings .

WARNING : in the event of difficulty in fitting, remove the centralising pins (4) from the pillar hinge and if necessary from the door hinge .

For this operation, repeat the surface treatment at the centralising pin (Application of an anti-corrosion product) .

4 - 2 - REFITTING A DOOR

Fit the tool [1] on the door .

Remove :

Remove the door hinge pins .

Remove the check strap from the front pillar .

Protect the rear edge of the front wing using adhesive tape in the working area of the wrench .

Replace the door .

Refit the pins (3) .

Secure the check strap to the front pillar .

Detach the tool [1] .

Check the fits and clearances .

NOTE : in the event of difficulty in adjustment between the striker and the locks, fit a 306 type striker without indexing to be able to make the adjustment .

5 - TIGHTENING

Tighten the fasteners (2) to 2 da.Nm .

Tighten the fasteners (3) to 1,4 da.Nm .
