REPLACING DOORS (REAR DOOR)

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Door stand .

Make 2 blocks [2] in accordance with the diagram .

Make 2 blocks [3] in accordance with the diagram .

Make 2 blocks [4] in accordance with the diagram .

2 - FITTING

Place the door on the stand [1] .

Fitting assembly for equipping a door :

• (1) fixed hinge
• (2) moving hinge
• (3) bolt
• (4) shaft
• (5) centralising pin

The shim [2] at (C) (13 mm dimension to the outside) .

The shim [3] at (D) (15 mm dimension to the outside) .

The 2 thrust shims [4] 13 mm thick at (E) .

Fit the hinges (1) on the centre pillar .

Half-tighten the bolts (3) .

Position the door opposite the hinges .

Tighten, without locking, the hinge bolts (2) to the door .

Tighten the check strap on the centre pillar .

NOTE : the door hinge pin holding bolts (4) face each other .

Close the door and check the clearances :

• height (E) : 5 ± 2 mm
• clearances (F) : 4 ± 1.5 mm
• flush fitting : 0 mm

Open the front door .

Keep the rear door closed .

Tighten the bolts (3) .

Secure the check strap on to the centre pillar .

Check the fits and clearances .

NOTE : in the event of difficulty in closing .

Remove :

• remove the centralising pin (5) on the door hinge
• if necessary enlarge the diameter of the drilled housings (6) of the guides (7)
• if this is not sufficient, grind the guides (7)

For these operations, repeat the surface treatment (Application of an anti-corrosion product) .

Check the fits and clearances .

NOTE : in the event of difficulty in adjustment between the striker and the locks, fit a 306 type striker without indexing to be able to make the adjustment .

Tighten the fastenings :

• (2) 2 da.Nm
• (4) 1.4 da.Nm
