MODIFICATION TAILGATE HARNESSES PASSAGE PUNCHING

Tailgate inner panel (Earlier model) .

NOTE : only new model tailgates will be supplied by the parts division .

1 - OPERATING PROCEDURE

Key :

• A = 35,2 mm
• B = 23,2 mm

Photocopy this sheet (scale 1/1) .

Cut out the shaded part then draw the oblong hole on a cardboard support .

Key :

• C = 4,5 mm
• D = 5,0 mm

Cut the cardboard and place the template in position on the tailgate inner panel .

Using a pointed marking tool, draw the final oblong hole .

Key :

• E = 10 holes 5 mm in diameter
• F = 9 holes 3 mm in diameter

Bore X holes around the marking of the oblong hole (take care over the depth of the bore); remove the sheet metal debris .

Finish using a semi-circular file .

WARNING : all the scoured areas must be protected by the approved electrolytic re-zincing process .
