REPLACEMENT TAIL LAMP HOUSING STIFFENER - PASSENGER COMPARTMENT BOTTOM REAR CLOSER

WARNING : all the scoured areas must be protected by the approved electrolytic re-zincing process .

1 - COMPLEMENTARY OPERATION(S)

Replace :

• tail panel assembly

2 - IDENTIFICATION OF REPLACEMENT PARTS

Passenger compartment bottom rear closer .

Tail lamp housing stiffener .

3 - PART(S) REQUIRED TO CARRY OUT THE OPERATION

Passenger compartment bottom rear closer .

Tail lamp housing stiffener .

4 - CUTTING OUT

Cut out by milling out the spot welds .

Cut out by milling out the spot welds .

Cut out by milling out the spot welds .

Cut out by milling out the spot welds .

5 - SEPARATING

Prepare the mating edges .

Protect the edges of the original and the new parts with welding primer .

6 - ADJUSTMENT

Position :

• tail lamp housing stiffener
• passenger compartment bottom rear closer
• tail panel assembly
• the tailgate

Check the clearances .

Remove :

• tail panel assembly
• passenger compartment bottom rear closer

7 - WELDING

Spot weld (Using AB1 equipment) .

Spot weld (Using AB1 equipment) .

MIG plug weld .

Grind the plug welds .

MIG plug weld (At A) .

Grind the plug welds .

Spot weld at (At B), (Using AB1 equipment) .

8 - SEALING

Apply mastic sealant .

Apply mastic sealant .
