REMOVAL - REFITTING TAILGATE SEAL

1 - REMOVAL

Open the luggage compartment .

Loosen the boot seal (1) from the front side sections (A), and from the rear quarter panel internal weatherstrips (2) .

Gradually detach the seal around the edge of the boot and remove it .

2 - REFITTING

NOTE : apply a product to assist fitting on the flange (example: soapy water) .

WARNING : handle the seal with care, holding it at approximately 1 m from each end .

Position the ends (A) of the seal (1) at the stop against the rear quarter panel interior weatherstrip moulding (2) .

On each side : Insert the interior weatherstrip moulding end piece (B) in the boot seal pipe .

Fit the seal on the flange .

WARNING : do not fold the lip (3) on itself .

Once the seal is in place, take the cord (4) under the lip at the striker .

Pull the cord (4) at the centre, towards each of the two ends (so positioning the lip on the trim) .

Test operation .
