REMOVAL - REFITTING FRONT SPRING

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] spring compressor (-).0910 AZ .

[2] bottom fork (-).0910 B .

[3] top plate (-).0910 F .

[4] Spring retaining rods (-).0918 Z .

2 - REMOVAL

Remove the suspension strut .

Clamp the tool [1] in the vice .

Place the 2nd coil of the spring in the bottom fork [2] .

Screw the spring compressor [1] .

Place 2 bolt(s) at (A) .

Position the shock absorber to leave the 2 rods free .

Compress the spring a little .

Release the shock absorber rod nut .

Compress the spring to unhook the two rods from the lower cup .

Remove :

• the shock absorber rod nut (1)
• the washer (2)
• the damper

3 - REFITTING

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .

Always replace the nut (1) and tighten it to 4.5 daN.m .
