REMOVAL INPUT, OUTPUT SHAFTS AND DIFFERENTIAL

1 - PRELIMINARY OPERATIONS

Stripping the gearbox .

Removal of the gearbox casing .

2 - REMOVAL

Remove :

• the reverse idler shaft (1)
• the plastic bush (2)
• the reverse sliding gear (3)

Remove the reverse fork shaft (4) (press on the fork gently to release the shaft) .

Remove the reverse fork (5) .

Engage 2 nd speed .

WARNING : drift out the gear engagement finger securing pin (6) towards the outside of the gearbox .

Drift out the gear engagement shaft pin (6) .

Retrieve the pin (6) .

Remove :

• the engagement shaft (7)
• the engagement shaft seal (8)
• the spring (9) and its two thrust cups (10) (depending on the type of gearbox assembly)

Remove the interlock key (11) .

Remove the input shaft, output shaft, fork and shaft assembly .

WARNING : the matching of the intermediate plate and the clutch housing must be maintained .

Remove the intermediate plate bolts (12) .

Release and remove the intermediate plate (12) .

Remove :

• the reverse fork locking finger (13)
• the spring (14)
• the differential (15)

3 - COMPLEMENTARY OPERATION(S)

WARNING : observe the cleaning and refitting conditions .

Refitting :

• input, output shafts and differential
• gearbox casing
