REMOVAL - REFITTING INJECTORS

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Injector socket (-).0149 .

2 - REMOVAL

Disconnect the battery .

DW8 ENGINE

Remove the style cover (1) .

Remove :

• the air filter and expansion chamber assembly (2)
• the inlet manifold (3)
• the EGR valve hose
• the injection pipes

Remove :

• the fuel return pipes
• the injector holders (4) using the socket [1]
• the sealing washers (5)

3 - REFITTING

IMPERATIVE : always renew : the sealing washers (5) .

Fit :

• the sealing washers (5)
• the injector holders (4) (tightening torque: 9 da.Nm)
• the injection pipes

Tightening torque(s) Injection pipes :

• on injection pump : 2.5 da.Nm
• on injectors : 2.5 da.Nm

Fit :

• the EGR valve hose (EGR valve pipe mounting on exhaust manifold : 1.5 da.Nm)

The upper air distributor (3) .

Upper air distributor mounting on lower distributor : 0.8 da.Nm .

Upper air distributor mounting on cylinder head : 1.75 da.Nm .

Continue the fitting operations in the reverse order to removal .

Enables limiting the voltage on the electric circuit being checked .
