REMOVAL - REFITTING ALTERNATOR

1 - REMOVAL

DW8 ENGINE

Disconnect :

• the battery
• the control unit 1

Remove :

• the style cover (2)
• the ancillary drive belt (3)

DW8 ENGINE POWER STEERING

Move aside the power steering pump without opening the circuit .

DW8 ENGINE

Disconnect the alternator electrical connections .

Remove the bolts (3) .

Remove the bolt (4) .

Remove :

• the bolt (5)
• the alternator

TU ENGINE

Disconnect the battery .

Remove the ancillary drive belt .

TU ENGINE POWER STEERING

Move aside the power steering pump (1) without opening the circuit .

TU ENGINE

Remove :

• the tensioning roller (2)
• the electrical connections (3)
• the bolts securing the alternator
• the alternator

ALL MODELS

2 - REFITTING

DW8 ENGINE

Cross section: alternator mounting .

WARNING : check for the presence of the spacers (6) on the ancillaries mounting before refitting the alternator .

Fit : The alternator .

IMPERATIVE : tighten the fasteners to the correct torque starting with the two fasteners on the pulley side .

Tightening torque of bolts (3) : 4.3 da.Nm .

Tightening torque of bolts (4) - (5) : 3 da.Nm .

Fit : The ancillary drive belt .

Continue the fitting operations in the reverse order to removal .

TU ENGINE

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .
