REMOVAL - REFITTING INLET MANIFOLD

1 - REMOVAL

Remove the battery tray .

Disconnect the battery .

Remove :

• the style cover
• the air cleaner

Disconnect the high tension wires (1), which must be pulled by the extension lead .

remove the compact coil unit .

Unclip the oil gauge from the inlet manifold .

Disconnect :

• the engine harness attached to the inlet manifold and the ecu
• the fuel circuit attached to the inlet manifold
• the crankcase breather hose

WARNING : when opening the fuel circuit, protect yourself with a rag from any splashing of petrol .

Remove :

• the bolts (2)
• the inlet manifold (3)

Disconnect :

• the injectors (4)
• the throttle unit (5)

2 - REFITTING

WARNING : the inlet manifold fixing bolts break through to the cylinder head .

IMPERATIVE : coat the inlet manifold fixing bolts with thread lock LOCTITE FRENETANCH .

Always renew :

• the inlet manifold seals
• the seal between the cylinder head cover and the inlet manifold
• the crankcase breather hoses seal

Continue the fitting operations in the reverse order to removal .

refit the coil pack unit .

Pre-tighten the bolts (4) - (5) to 0.6 m.daN .

Slacken the bolts (4) - (5) .

Tighten the bolts in the order shown : 1 da.Nm .
