REMOVAL - REFITTING OIL PUMP

1 - SPECIAL TOOLS

[1] Oil pump positioning tool (-).1355 .

2 - REMOVAL

Drain the engine oil .

Remove :

• stone guard panel
• the accessory belts
• the timing belt
• the oil level sensor
• the dipstick
• the crankshaft pulley
• the crankshaft gear
• the sump

Remove :

• the oil pump strainer (1)
• the oil pump (2)

Clean the joint seals without scratching the aluminium surfaces .

3 - REFITTING

Always replace the oil pressure supply seal (3) .

Place a bead of E10 sealant on the joint seal .

WARNING : the oil pump is driven from the end of the crankshaft by means of two flats .

Fit :

• the oil pump : tightening torque 0.9 da.Nm
• the new seal on the crankshaft output shaft

Replace the strainer fitted with its new o ring .

Clean the seal faces :

• cylinder block
• sump

Fit the sump .

Tighten the bolts to 1 da.Nm .

Fit :

• the timing belt
• the accessory belts

Proceed in the reverse order to removal .
