REMOVAL - REFITTING CYLINDER HEAD
1 - REMOVAL
Place the vehicle on a two-post ramp .
Remove the stone shield panel .
drain the cooling system .
Remove :
Remove the battery tray .
Disconnect the battery .
Remove :

Remove :

Disconnect :

Slacken the cylinder head mounting bolts : In the order shown .
Remove the cylinder head .
Apply the product DECAPJOINT to the part to be cleaned, wait 10 minutes, then remove using a wooden spatula .
NOTE : for this operation, it is advisable to wear gloves .
WARNING : do not scratch the joint surfaces of the aluminium parts .
2 - REFITTING
2 - 1 - CHECKING THE FLATNESS

Maximum permissible bow = 0.05 mm .
WARNING : the cylinder head cannot be rectified .
Fit a new cylinder head gasket .
Refit the cylinder head .
WARNING : all the cylinder head bolts must always be replaced after removal .
Do not oil the bolts .
NOTE : to obtain correct tightening of the bolts, remove with an oil syringe which can be found in the cylinder head fixing holes, clean and dry .

Tighten the cylinder head bolts in the order shown .

Apply sealant E10 to the bearings (A) and (B) of the camshaft, as well as to the 4 holes of the rear fixing of the cylinder head .
Replace the cylinder head bolts and offer them up manually .

Tighten the bolts in the order given : 1 da.Nm .

Refit new plug recess seals using a 30 mm socket .
Fit :
Top up the oil level with fresh oil .
fill and bleed the cooling system .
Proceed in the reverse order to removal .
