REMOVAL - REFITTING QUARTER LIGHT
1 - TOOLING
[1] Suction pad .
2 - REMOVAL
Place the vehicle in cabriolet position .
Remove :
Slacken the upper fixings (1), then push the assembly (electric window mechanism + glass) towards the inside of the vehicle, then retighten the fixings .
Unscrew ; The lower fixing (2) .
Raise the glass .
Remove the fasteners (3) .
Support the glass, then lower the mechanism slightly .
Detach, then remove the glass via the rear section .
NOTE : if the electric window motor is faulty, and the window is in the lowest position, cut the cables to raise the window manually ; REPLACE THE WINDOW LIFT MECHANISM .
3 - REFITTING
Refit the rear quarter panel window .
Adjust the window .
3 - 1 - ADJUSTMENT OF THE REAR QUARTER PANEL ELECTRIC WINDOW GLASS AND MECHANISM
Change the vehicle into the coupé version .
Lower the window .
Tighten the 1/4 electric window mechanism fixings 2 by (1) turns and check the sliding motion at (Y) .
Tighten the fixing 1/2 by (2) turns .
Raise the glass .
Tighten the window fixings 1/4 by (3) turns and check the sliding motion at (X) and (Z) .
Raise the window fully in the rear quarter panel side seal (4) using the tool [1] .
Retighten the window fixings (3) observing the order (A) - (B) - (C) .
NOTE : two operators are necessary .
Lower the window .
Retighten the electric window mechanism fixings (1) observing the order (D) - (E) .
Tighten the bolts (1) - (2) to 0.8 ± 0.2 daN.m .
Remove dirt from the panel flange (Degrease using dilute surface cleaner) .
IMPERATIVE : fit new seals, which must be assembled without folds and tears ; absolute cleanness of the contact face on the vehicle is necessary ; run a wheel over the parts of the flange to be bonded ; these recommendations are essential to prevent possible entry of water, dust or noise .
Proceed in the reverse order to removal .
Test operation .
