CLEANING AND REFITTING CONDITIONS GEARBOX

Do not use abrasives or sharp tools on the joint faces .

Clean the threads in the cylinder block with a tap .

Fit only parts which are clean and free from faults (scores, burrs, knocks...) .

Oil the parts one by one as they are refitted .

Always renew after removal :

• the seals
• the pins
• the bearings
• the bearing guide
• spring rings and circlips
• the spring washers
• the bearing guide tube tightening bolts
• the clutch shaft bearings
• the shaft line tightening nuts
• the intermediate plate tightening bolts
• the differential pinion shaft circlip

Maintain the matching of :

• the clutch housing and the intermediate plate
• the selection lever and shaft
• of the clutch release shaft and lever
• the engagement finger and lever
• the forks and shafts

Preliminary operations :

• operations which must be carried out before beginning the method

Complementary operation(s) :

• operations which must be carried out after completing the method in order to make the gearbox operational again
