Hi all,

I am on the verge of buying a 206cc HDI Allure.

I have always wanted one of these ever since they came out and now I can finally afford one :D

So anyway, I've been speaking to dealers and finance people and just short of a test drive to check I can fit in the car okay I should be all set for the middle of January :D

Then I showed a picture of the car to my Fiance and she said it was a hairdressers car and the back of it was ugly. :(

Now I'm not really bothered by other peoples opinions (I always driven rust buckets in the past) but this time I thought I would buy a car that I like and I think other people like - but I fell at the first hurdle.

So in general what do other people who see your car think of it?

Everybody is entitled to their opinion and if you like it go for it!! Your fiancee will be the first person to want a drive in it when the roof is down and the sun is shining!

I lurrrvvvveee my 206cc and even my husband (who also says that it's a hairdresser's car, by the way!) thinks it's great fun to drive and often borrows it because "it's so much easier to park in town" than his hulking great estate...well, that's his excuse!

People either love or hate the 206cc. I reckon those who claim to hate it are just jealous anyway
Life's too short to drive around with your roof up.

I'm a guy, had one for two years, and loved every minute... never a negative comment, only good ones. The only negative comments you will ever get are on other forums from car enthusiasts who are insecure with their own sexuality...

... It is just a car after all

well I love mine but have had nothing but negative comments since the day I said I was buying one...constantly get girls car and hairdresser comments and in the pug owners club I beloing to I've had a hell of a lot of negative feedback...

I put it down to jealousy though...I won't accept the driver of a 1.1 206 telling me my cc is rubbish hehe :P

at the end of the day it's your car not anyone elses so get what you want :)

When people make negative comments about a 206CC then it's worth looking to see what they have as it's normally something pretty crap.

Got the hairdresser comments about the 206CC but not about the 350ZR

I love my baby boy - but I know what she means about the back - but it grows on you - I wouldn't change him for the world now. Just get loads of chrome accessories & make it look a little meaner - worked for me! :D

I know it is a generalisation but I totally agree it is a hairdressers car BUT I can't wait for my wife to get one. There are some minor mods I have seen that make the car a little less hairdresserish. Lexus lights, different wheels, chrome hoops, furry dice.

I don't mind being a hairdresser for a day to take it out for a run and as others have said it is just jealousy from others.

I've only had the hairdresser comment off a fotball forum I visit. All my friends here love the car. I've got a chrome rack on the back of mine and think it finishes it off nicely. You'll be amazed how much stuff you can get in it too. I went from a 4x4 to my 206cc and haven't regretted it. Another bonus is you can't really fit any kids in it! :D

Some of these posts have got me thinking.

Has anyone noticed that most men that drive girlie/ small cars are normally masculine looking or larger in structure.

And most men I know that are weedy in appearance drive larger cars. Like 4x4’s and big saloons.

Then I was thinking about people I know that drive BMW’s and Audis. They all seem to be in financial difficulty. I guess they have purchased their cars on HP with astronomical APR’s.

And I will probably regret to say this but most CC drivers I see waving at me are butt ugly yet I would say the CC is a good-looking car. :yikes:

I guess if a car says a lot about you. It is what the driver is lacking.
