get the adaptor lead from your dealer, partnumber 9706.86

it's because the ISO wiring in the CC isn't totally standard. There isn't a normal ignition 12v where it should be. As axl77 said, you can buy an adapter that should fix the problem or do it the manual way (find the ignitino 12v on a different wire on the ISO adapter or run a wire to the ciggy lighter!)

Tried that adapter and it didnt work.

Weird.

just for the record ive got a pioneer P77 HU.

Still swapped the red and yellow wire round iso and itt saved all the settings which is a bonus.

but now need to run a wire from ciggy lighter no make it switch off.
This is confusig.

I run a kenwood mask unit and when you turn the engine off and lock the doors the unit will play for about 2 minutes before spinning round and switch itself off.

Upon opening the doors the unit will switch itself on again unless you use the power switch on the head unit to turn it off where it won't activate again until you turn the unit on manually.

I've never had a problem with a flat battery so I'm guessing the whole system shuts down once the head unit is off.

The peugeot adapter works perfectly but you have to have the onbaord stereo disabled in the BSI system first.

Then it will send a switched 12v auxillary to the stereo.

Cheers.

you have to get a peugeot techie to do it i'm afraid or buy a linkup cable (about £70) and laptop and do it yourself :)

My girlfriend's 206cc has a Sony unit installed and the same happens. It does seem to switch off after a short while and no flat batteries so far. She said that sometimes it switches off straight away, sometimes not! ;)
If it fits, wear it!
