Hello all. I'm soon to be a new 206cc owner would like to get some insights from current owners. I've put a deposit in for a silver 1.6 206cc manual from Parramatta Dealer in Sydney. I had leather added to the car already. Just that i want some details on how to get a bit more power from the car. I was looking at a devil dual exhaust system, simota air filter kit and powerchip upgrade. anyone with any experience for this? Also i was looking at 17" wheels for the car. Any recommendation as to where's a good shop to go for?

ditch the 1.6 and get a 2.0, this will give you more power for sure.

well.... i got it at the demolition sale on the weekend and seems like they only have 1.6 at a good price... and the only 2.0 was a red... which i didn't want... and its only 20kw difference between the 2.0 and 1.6... so i thought it wouldn't be too hard to pump an extra 15-20kw out of the 1.6l engine...

Welcome to the world of CCs!!!!

Are you interested in buying a set of 17" chromes that will fit the 206. Wheels that fit are very hard to find in Aust. Check out my "www" to see the wheels.

Yeah, put in a Pioneer MP3 HU. Haven't got around to changing the speakers as yet.

When are you picking up your car? Will you join us for the French Car Day on 11 July?

I believe Kenwoods have adaptors for the centre dash display and the remote stalk. Should be available from one of the UK adaptors manufacturers. Do a search of the ICE section.

Welcome to the fun world of CC's - although I wouldn't have chosen the 1.6 - even though there is on 15kw difference, the auto gearbox in the 1.6 weighs a ton.

Becareful about doing to many mods as you may void the warranty - I wouldnt recommend changing the chip until the warranty is over.

Enjoy the car though they are heaps of fun!

i have about the same setup as you mention with Powerchip, devil Twin Exhaust except the filter i just use the replacement BMC.

Mine is 1.6L auto. The power gain is good. But i think what powerchip do is only Adjust the Cam timing which i think the dealer can do that. Adjusting the Timing to only suit with 98 RON fuel.

Cheers
