Was it anyone on here that ran out of petrol 200 yards before the BP station last week, someone with a metallic blue CC.

This happened to me too ; I thought I still had a decent reservelight had` only just come on vey embarrassing at entrance to a car park, Saturday afternoon, Barnet Herts. Oops!!"

Ran out of petrol, half a mile from home (and I live next door but one to a petrol station), en route to my daughter's infant school Christmas play. :cry:

Ran home, got a petrol can and filled it and ran to the car. God, I'm unfit - never been so knackered in years. Skipped getting changed and went straight to the school. Got there ten minutes after the play startd but before my kid took the stage. Kid beeming, wife mollified, smiles all around. :lol:

Moral of the story? Don't ignore the Dummy Light. "Fill the tank now! Dummy!"
