Seems ok here, around 65-70 the stereo gets a bit louder, but I don't recall anything happening on the display to accompany this.

Mine doesn't work either (never worked). I have never remembered to ask a dealer about it
Display says: AutoVolume On (when you browse "radio's setup").

mines works but you have to listen carefully to notice it. the difference is minimal and depends on ur speed but the display reading for volume stays the same

Have you noticed it e.g when you are driving from city to highway speed ?
It's very odd that those volume numbers don't rise, like you said Derek

Just as Derek said, it's barely noticable.
Sometimes when turn up a freeway i notice a slight difference indeed.
But with the top down, the volume has to be a little bit higher then what the auto-volume thingie thinks it should be ;)

It definitely works. i didn't think it did until I had my phat amps installed. i wondered why tunes were distorting at times they hadn't before. Then realised I was on the motorway, turned the auto volume off and the sound dropped.

I don't know about your radios but I have never noticed any differences in mine between it being switched on or off but one this is certain, if you turn it off, every time you turn the ignition off the auto volume turns itself on again, pretty damn annoying and my local pug dealer says that I will just have to live with it.

Mine does that too.

Before I had the amps, i was convinced the auto-volume didn't work but now I know for sure they do. it doesn't just turn the volume up though, it adjusts only certain frequencies (In the mid-range I would say).

On other cars this feature is far more pronounced. Did someone on here say that the amount of Auto Volume increase can be adjusted by pug?

There's member who is a pug ICE man- perhaps he'll know?
Just because you're paranoid, it don't mean they're not after you.

Hi guys
I have a 2001 206CC 1.6L.
I just recently change the stereo system to a Woodstock 53 which supports automatic sound adjustment
does anyone know if my model has a lead-in to support that feature ?

That sounds like rubbish, my never worked until a software upgrade was done, it just kept Off even though id set it to On when the enginre is restarted.

it is speed sensitive will get louder at 60km/hr+ but not loud enough and speed is set too high not practicle since the noise is already covered the sound of stereo at around 30~40km/hr
206CC is my big toy, fun to drive. HID, Earthing, Deadning, Michelin Premacy......very soft and quiet like a cat.
