wot pug garage is this .. i want i want i WANT. ok the insurance thing ... some places will cover you as if you confirm it's not for raod use and will have it turned off on the road, it's also not illegal to have nos in car, but you need to have a compressed gas sticker visible on the car ... and no a sticker saying NOS doesnt count.

but the big problem is is that the pug 206 engine can really only take about another 75bhp at max before it starts to go bang. basilccay the 206gti engine is a cheapened 306gti 6 engine .....with all the problems that might bring ...

It's Regal Garage in Bromsgrove.

I'll go in and have another chat with the sales manager about it all.

He's the one I spoke to before - he said he can do me a supercharger, chip, NOS, anything really as they have just signed a deal with this company, so if Peugeot won't warranty fix any problems, this company will!!

I'll let you know in a couple of days Paul.

Nah, It's Regal. They have a few dealerships around Worcestershire.

The sales guy is a nutter - mods his cars to buggery apparantly. Quite handy coz he knows what he's talking about.

But guess what... Peugeot phoned to tell me that my car still isn't ready! It's been in for a week now to sort out all the problems with it

i would go with cams and a turbo and chip. nothing like that magical dump valve sound. then add say 25bhp jets of nos on.

nah cams are dodgy on 206 engines ... car just won't idle in low revs at all and a turbo is nice , but you want a super charger under there my son.

Sorry Paul, completely forgot about this post!

They'll do anything you want basically. Although he said there might be an issue with Superchips, NOS isn't a problem. If you want to get hold of the sales manager (he's the one that I deal with now), his name is Tim Maneord (pronounced Maynard). Go through reception - 0700 4 7384368.

Hi

A story to tell....

I use to have an MGF many years ago when they first came out. I added a Bespoke twin 5" exhaust systems, K&N 57i Air filter with the "air in flow tube" running under the car to the front (mid engine car) and a Super Chip.

I did not inform the insurance company about the mods. One cold evening I lost the back end of the car on some ice and smashed into another parked car, damage £11,000 to my car and the other car written off.

I had to have my car reshelled.

When it came to the insurance company, they did not send out an assesor but asked the repair centre to video film the damage and then send it with a report over the web (this is very common now, Zurich/Eagle Star do this)

Before this was done I spoke to the garage (Main Ford dealer where the car was going to be being repaired) and asked if I could come down and remove some parts from the car, I explained the full situation and they where fine about it.

They told me this was not uncommon and they had no problem with it all. I suspect that if they had not let me do this, the insurance company may not of paid out and therefore they would not of got the work.

As the back of the car was a mangled mess I could not remove the exhaust system, but they said they would try to avoid picking it up when they video'd the damage.

Im not saying that this is the way to go, but I got away with it.

Regards

I'd love to get an NOS system for my cc, especially as its a 1.6ltr.

Thing is though, I know I shouldn't. Keep asking people to give me reasons why I shouldn't get some and all they ever come up with is that I'm likely to kill myself! ppff, in my opion, you risk your life evrytime you get behind the wheel of a car so makes no odds to me. If I'm going to die driving, I want it to be in style (as long as no-one else is involved of course) rather than doing 20mph along the road just for a bus to swerve and take me out.

The only real reason for me not to invest is the insurance..................
