Can someone please explain how I end up with cigarette ash in the boot - it is always there?

It's called humour. Quite a revolutionary idea, if you ask me.

npinney,

in all seriousness, the question is a bit far fetched - how are we going to know how it got there ? it's your car.

I can understand how Julias leaves got there, blown in while she's upping and downing her hood, the ash though remains a mystery, but I'm determined to get to the bottom if it.

It's also getting to the time of year when people have fires going in their houses. Do you live in a non-smokeless zone or near a power station, Factory etc?
