Probably the little matter of several thousand pounds' difference in price at a time when that's about all I could afford?

Anyway - it was a rhetorical question. Hopefully I won't even have it for much longer.

Hi again

Well looking at the web page, it all sounds very good, but as Zetec added it, the results will differ depending on what car it is being applied to.

For example the impreza engines have always be known as very easy to obtain further BHP, esp adding a filter and chip, since the existing components are on the conservative side.

I would like to see true dyno figures before accepting the maufactures claim.

One thing I must say I do like the mechanics that they use to fit there filters:

I bet they could probably do a better job than some of the Pug mechanics.

If your looking for dyno figures go to

http://www.pugsport-gti.co.uk/206grouphome.htm

Click on 206Modifications on the left and then click on induction at the top.

They have tested a few different filters here.

As far as effient, this can depend on so many different factors, but you should find a slight increase in mpg on petrol, but i bought my filter to go faster hehe  so I

Reporting back, it's LOUD! Thought my exhaust had blown! But it certainly seems to breath much more freely and is very rev happy now  Could be my imagination though? If anyone's interested, I bought a £100 one (the basic one with a tube down the middle to let more air in) from Halford's Ripspeed counter.

I use a k&n induction kit on my 1.6l cc and it works fine for me, i can feel and hear the diference on the engine, and the fuel economy went up, dealer installed.
Why are u reading this???

K&N for me, small performance increase for small price(£35). All the other induction kits 100-200£ for little more BHP, pretty pointless. If you're going to spend that sort of money K&N plus a superchip; better performance top end + better fuel economy lower end.

Sam1974,
Is there a model number for your filter as I intend to replace mine and want to ensure I get the right one. Did you get it via mail order ?

Rich

The part number on the box is NR33-2813. I ordered mine from the infamous simon at pug sport awhile ago.

This filter was originally fitted to my 206 gti, before I got my cc. So when I ordered it I specced it for the gti model, but as the engines are the same in both cars, I dont think the part number will be any different for the CC.
