Earth lead part numbers please

Post by Miss Charlie »

Hi All

My pug is misbehaving (not turning over, anti pollution fault, engine immobiliser active, among others... ).

Having studied this fabulous forum I have discovered that I have the battery that is too short so will change that.

I also want to replace the battery to earth and body leads as they look quite corroded and also the battery to gearbox cable (cleaning connections will be done too). Can anyone please supply the part numbers for these and/or a supplier as I'm struggling to find them.

Many thanks in advance.

There are three listed:

NEGATIVE CABLE

5638 L8 MARKING 9657580080 9657579980 - BVM

5638 L7 MARKING 9656326480 - BVA

96 748 573 80 01 - BVM5

I think BVA= auto transmission and BVM5 = 5 speed manual. BVM = ???

Alternatively, an auto electrician could make one up by copying yours - might be cheaper than buying from a Peugeot Dealer (assuming the part is obtainable - some are not).

Thankyou. We have cleaned up the old one & tested it & all seems ok. Might try that for now and see how we go. 🤞🤞🤞

Woo hoo! Battery reconnected and BSI re-set using recommended procedures. All fault codes gone!
