I'm thinking I might replace my rear axle at some point too. Can you post here a brief description of how it goes please?

If you go to http://public.servicebox.peugeot.com/pages/index.jsp and register as an independent, you can look up all the parts of your car by entering your VIN in a Peugeot illustrated database.

The body strengthening bars? They are p$gs to remove ... the mounting bolts rust solid and as they are torx heads, round off as soon as you put pressure on them

I got mine out with a heat gun then a good crack with a heavy lump hammer to break the thread lock/rust free. More chance of snapping a torx bit than rounding them off that way.

Nice one  I killed a T55 torx handle (the large ones that look like huge alan keys with a plastic grippy bit) and a halfords bit before I heat gunned em.

That plus gas is the best way though and that crack with a lumpy sure dont half free em off :)
