Multifunction Display

Post by Sid »

Hello again,

just a question regarding the display. (2003 1.6l)
i have cycled through the settings time/date/ KMH etc
but all the display does is show time date and temperature.

pressing the button at the end of the wiper stalk does nothing.

my questions are, is there something i am missing? some sort of reset required? or something i should check.?
or ???

thanks for the assistance..

The button on the end of the wiper stalk has to be depressed for more than 2 seconds.

Is it a button or a blank?

It should be a single press to change and 2 secs to reset .. it's on pages 79 and 80 of the handbook ...

BUT ....

This assumes your car came with that feature .. not all do ... and given the age of the car parts may have been swapped so you have a stalk with a button, but not a BSI unit that supports the trip meter etc, or a MFD from a later car. There are several combinations around ..

You can download a CC handbook as a PDF file from this forum.

I have gone through the handbook as I am lucky enough to have a hardcopy.

It's a Peugeot .. it's all pretty random between models and countries ..

and often what was in the parts bin when the car was built ... and what day, time, etc .. Friday afternoon cars are probably bits of anything!! :-)

It may be a simple as activating the function in the BSI configuration, using Planet.

Try to look at the display under dim light, mine looks like it has 2-line display but actually it has only 1 line of text and the second line is just some icons for the radio and on the end is a small segment that can show the outside temp.
Needles to say, it has only time/calendar/out temp.

The radio is replaced with aftermarket HU so even that is not used.

Try to take a picture (without flash) and someone on the portal can recognize it.
