New Owner in Essex

Just wanted to drop in and say hello..

In a moment of sheer madness (or inspired genius), I bought a 206CC petrol 1.6 (2001) as I have always liked the looks and the idea of a folding roof.

Didn't cost a fortune and needs some TLC to get it it back to gorgeous, but I fancied a bit of a project to restore and play around with some styling and/or mods ready for next summer.

Looks like some great stuff on here and obviously loads of knowledge, so probably no need to ask questions just yet!

Any words of wisdom will always be welcome - Thanks.

Welcome aboard all the same. Hope you enjoy it here and your new car. I'm partial to a spot of tinkering with various things myself, so I can appreciate the urge to fiddle!

Welcome to the forum Robbo. Good luck with your "new" 15 year old car.

A lot of problems with the 206cc are caused by new owners who don't both to read the owner's manual thoroughly first. Especially with the roof.

Wise words about reading the manual.. None supplied so have tracked one down online.

Roof appears to work just fine (Crosses Fingers)

Hopefully there is information on here about recommended maintenance and fault finding should the worst happen
