Thanks for repley IanL,
Sounds possible for me to try out and
1. connect the pins at first on the screen pillars
I hope to get the switches free.

2. If i understood you correct. at least,
a) connect pin 6with8 and 19with26
b) connect 6,8,19 in the 26Pin Connector ?
Think you mean b) all right ?

Ill go to test 1.) and tell you the news.

to Col. it makes sence to check the Switches ,yes and only the ecu is controlling. Its clear.
And i prefer to do some real handwork on my cc-cat :-) to have a result. If i had understood right,
The diagnostic Computer can´t tell, if a switch works or not ?

Thanks Franky

PP2000 software is probably the only system that will read the roof ECU.
Your English is fine- Better than some native English speakers. Good luck with the exam.
Cheers Col.

I just realised that the roof will not raise under power with the pins connected. You will have to try to do the connection with the roof already up, if that is possible.

Yes, thats the way it is. I will try the next day´s. Thinking of lifting up the roof a litle bit manually and placing two peace of wood between the roof and the wind screen. So i can work on the Roof Striker Switches. But perhaps it isn´t necessary. And the work on the switch is possible with closed Roof.
As you said, i only have to check the inner switches in the FrontScreen-Pillar, and try to open and close the windows at first.

I did not give up and finaly a found a good video which is showing some works on that Wind Screen Pillars and its Roof-Switches.

I will be back with news. Greetings, Franky

I just checked the inside covering panel of the front screen pillars. It isn´t obvious for me how to remove the cover panels. Has anyone a tip to remove the inner panels of the front side pillars ?

And now NEWS !! I had only a look inside the front roof striker´s to see if I can reach the switches perhaps for contact spray. I opened the left Striker and closed it immediately. Then i tryed to lower the windows. They opened !! Yippi. Mighty Magic

The aftertaste is for sure, how long , and what happened? Does the contact spray made his job ?
I hope so.

I will do a full test of driving roof and windows for more then one time the next day´s to see if the error
is completely terminated. The beeping while driving I will test that evening by pick up a Lassagne and a Pizza from my favorite italian Pizza Blitz.

Hugs Franky

Back from the italian, and having pizza, the constant fast beep while driving is still alive.

As the windows are working, the roof striker switches are now ok. The beeping must be caused by another switch; I suggest E, J or K.

Just, I had a look on switch-E (right) and switch-J (left), upper boot cover locked switches.
They are very tiny.

The right handed one seems ok. By apply pressure on the boot cover the mechanical contact blade moves obviously good. (no electric check now).

The left handed one looks as the mechanic doesn´t move enough to close the switch or there is to much gap.

Questions:

1. Obviously the boot cover is not 100% hard fixed in position. By applying pressure on the top while the boot is opened, the cover moves about 1-2 cm - inside the boot cover lock mechanism E&J. Is that normal ?

2. How to reach Switch-K ?

3. Should I make a full roof drive by opening and closing it to ensure the boot cover drives in the exact end position and closing the E and J Switches.

4. There is a black and yello wire on the left side running into the back roof window segment. Is it Switch K ? Unplug it ?

After this and also using contact spray on E&J, the fast beeping is still alive.

Greetings Franky,

by the way: Writing consists of applying the seat of the pants to the seat of the chair or the seat of a peugeot 206cc :-)
