I was wondering if any other Peugeot 206cc owners have come across this fault - my machanic said that he had another customer a while ago with the very same problem, which had cost over £500 to correct!
I was thinking of selling my car for 'spares or repairs' but I am still very undecided - I have had my car since 2002, when it was just over a year old and I have become very attached to it, as you can imagine!
Appreciate any information around this subject please - Tracey

Rear axle is easy to replace and you can buy remanufactured ones.

Thank you Capncol but I still do not know if it would be worth repairing, as it has been garaged for over 2 years without being run.

£235 delivered for a decent refurbished axle, then you swap the axle ring the company and they arrange to pick up the old axle in a few days. 2 year guarantee. Got one on mine.
