engine momentum

Hey guys wondering if anyone can help my peugeot seems toalmost judder when in a low gear its like the momentum of the engine or car makes it just go forward i have checked engine mounts they are fine, i have driven other cars and nowhere near as bad is it just the cc model or is it mine, i also have a strange squeaking when in a lower gear too. 1.6 2002

It isn't a general 206cc thing. Assuming it's a manual transmission (you didn't say), I suspect the clutch.
