Getting the 'click' and no start so need to get a replacement - are all motors the same across the 206 range?
Ours is a 1.6 if that makes any difference?
Cheers.

Re: Starter motor
Sure it isn't the battery or a loose/broken battery lead? Check the earth to gearbox as they are notorious for snappling ...

Re: Starter motor
Battery is fully charged but I should check the leads, just in case.
Earth to gearbox? I'll have a hunt for that one too!
Thank you.

Re: Starter motor
Under the battery box.
Have you still got the quick-release type clamp on the positive side? Check it clamps on tight ... Had a colleague that couldn't start their car with the same symptoms as you. The clamp needed some additional adjustment to fit tighter. (wring side anyway for a quick-release ... Should be earth side first).

Re: Starter motor
If it is the starter motor search the forums for replacing starter motor to give you a guide. It is fiddley as you cant see what you are doing.

Re: Starter motor
Thanks for the replies. A job for Sunday as my own car collapsed today. Ok, that's a bit dramatic - a coil spring broke, but at least it was at home.
