Having recently taken delivery of my cc I have some obligatory Peugot gremlins to iron out. First there is the interior light...works fine on the door open > switch on setting, but bizarrely does nothing when switched to plain 'on'.

More worring though is that the boot is habitually unlatching itself as I am driving along. Fortunately the door open display shows it, so I stop and close it then go until it happens again, but man is it ever annoying, and I'm sure it could be dangerous.

If anyone knows quick fixes suitable for an unmechanical mind I would be pleased to hear them, otherwise, I'll be taking it into the local dealer to be done as warranty work. As I imported the car I expect aggrivation and arguments, but by heck if I get an argument he'll get one right back!!! I'll post my progress on these matters.

PS As I sit typing I am carless, as it is currently having a sat-nav system and parking sensors fitted. (Lord knows I need all the help I can get in that department, and it would be such a shame to mess up those nice alloys!). Again I'll let people know how well the systems work.

my interior light doesn't work either apart from the door being open and the glovebox light doesn't work either. i don't know if it was like this when i got it or if it happened 13 days after i got it when my useless dealer allegedly took 4 days to fix an immobiliser fault - AND failed. after they had their paws on it, the heated rear window, cig lighter power supply also stopped working, add that to the aircon unit malfunctioning then i'm surprised they didn't go the whole way and break the roof as well.

derek

I have the factory fitted alarm. The problem with the light is, I think, connected to the problem of no power to the cig lighter. What causes it I do not know!
