Well guys..
The 2006cc committed suicide on me on friday. The cam belt went and its not going to be cost effective to repair it as I could replace the engine but it also now looks like the gearbox may need replacing.
I have now moved over to a VW Golf 1.6se.
Its been fun owning my cc.. I was lucky to have it over the few weeks with the sun and the roof was down all the time.
I have a few things for sale on the forum. If anyone is interested let me know before I stick them on eBay..
Thanks to all for your help.. Here is a photo of the 206cc 48 hours before she died!!!!

Cheers Namrood. May see you on the VW Audi owners forum - I am not known as GrandadMonkey on there though.

Better luck with the Golf. Don't forget - change timing belts and tensioners and pulleys every 4 years or 40k miles on your "new" car. Fresh engine oil and filter every year or 10k miles.
