I need to replace the cigarette lighter, so need to disconnect the battery at the terminal. Will the radio need a code to work after I reconnect the battery? The previous owner annoyingly lost the code card for it
Thanks in advance!

Yes it will be OK. Just follow the proper battery disconnection method.

Glad I asked now as I did not know there was a procedure! Thanks for the very big heads up on this

Re: Does radio need code if I disconnect the battery?
If the radio ever forgets its code due to electrical glitches, then it's the VIN number, but you need someone with Peugeot Planet and a diagnostic lead/interface to programme it back in for you. It only takes a few minutes but garages will charge an arm and a leg for this "specialist information"!

never had to on our 2002 mux car, but had to re-enter code on pre-mux 2001 CC

Re: Does radio need code if I disconnect the battery?
Same answer as my post above - the VIN stored in the new CD/radio will be from the vehicle that it came out of. So it will need programming by someone using PP2000.
