hello from new member

Post by pamelamcnamara »

Hi folks, I will soon be buying a 206 convertible and would like to know if there are any 'faults' that I should be aware of BEFORE I buy one :) I don't want any nasty surprises...lol

Hi Col, I did buy a 206cc Allure year 2006 in silver with red/black sports interior. It's lovely :big-grin:
I was persuaded by the dealer to buy a warranty. I am glad I did as in less than a week the engine management light came on. The fault was the cat converter which was duly replaced under warranty. I have had no more trouble with it. Can't wait for warmer, drier weather when I can put the top down again :)

Hey Pamela, don't leave it too long before giving the roof a bit of exercise.
I reckon there are usually a rash of registrations around late Spring/Easter when people start discovering roof issues, and many of these can simply be down to the odd sticky microswitch which has seized over Winter. Prevention is better than cure, and just lowering/raising the roof occasionally can be enough to keep everything moving smoothly.

Does anyone know if there are any warranty providers who will offer cover on the folding roof motor? I have no problems with it at all but just asking for future reference. I have dealer warranty cover until august this year but will be looking at other warranty providers when it expires, to get the best deal.
