hi All,

wondering if anyone has had any problems with the Clarion CD/Radio. I bought a 1.6 manual 3 months ago and the radio never stores the stations in the correct way. If I play a CD and then go back the the radio all the stations have been mixed up. I have checked that I don't have any auotmatic retuning or anything like that on. Anyone seen the same thing?

many thanks.

From one Greg to anther....
I too have exactly the same problem - but figured it was cus i was in Germany where there are millions of radio stations all seemingly operating on the same frequencies, I only have to drive round the corner to lose 3 of the 6 stations i've programmed in. Hadn't really highlighted it as a problem here because BFBS is the only English language station and i can usually find it easily enough....

hi,

Thanks for the reply. It's a bit more annoying for me becuase I store 6 stations. When I play a CD thengo back they've all been changed (usually to BBC 2 for some strange reason!). The other strange thing is that the dsiplay sometime shows the correct station, but if you select it, it is actually playing a completely differnt station.

this is a fault but i don't know how it fixed.

this happened all the time with my 1st CC and the stations that changed also defaulted to BBC R2. it was supposedly fixed but it was still doing it when i got it back.

when it went back to get fixed again along with the leaks i didn't get the CC back as i ended up rejecting it so i don't know if it was ever fixed.

it has never happened on the replacement.

hi,

Derek, thanks for the reply. That is exactly what is happening. No matter what station I store, it always goes back to BBC Radio 2! I have taken it in once and it is still doing it (they told me they replaced the radio completely). Anyway, at least I know I am not going mad.

Thanks, Greg

good luck greg.

i know how annoying it is as i always preset the same stations in the same positions even in any courtesy cars i use and to switch stations and get something as annoying as R2 wasn't pleasant

Greg I have the same problem when I turn the car off. If i turn the ingination off I lose all my present stations and especially if i leave the car over night. I must admit Kiss fm does sound good after it changes to BBC2 quite getting used to the classical music LOL!!!!

We lost all our presets when our car went into the dealer once.

They removed and refitted the gearbox so presumably had to disconnect the battery causing the loss. However, I have never had to do this in other cars - All you do is re-enter the code.

Why Radio 2? Perhaps this just happens to be on the default frequency. Every TV we have bought has all channels showing Channel 4 when we got them. This is because the lowest frequency for TV in the UK is 21 and in our area this just happens to be Channel 4!

I'll go now before I bore you all!
