Leak - water drips down onto passenger seat

Post by lowfat »

Hi everyone. I have a 2002 52 reg 1997cc silver cabriolet which I fell in love with and bought recently from a dealer but I have noticed one or two small faults which I guess I will have to fix myself.
It rained heavily last night and this morning (not raining anymore) when I set off I noticed some drops of water coming in landing on the passenger seat. They are coming from the ceiling roughly where the latch is - the one you have to pull before taking the roof off. Is this just a deseign fault or are there ways to fix this? I don't want my car going rusty and it looks like it's storing a bit of rain water somewhere. Please help!

I don't use the spray on silicon. I bought a tub of clear silicon grease from my local plumbers merchant and use that instead. I found the spray on stuff too thin.
